    The Balenciaga Runner in black is the only sneaker that looks appropriate on the Atlantic City boardwalk at noon and in a casino lounge at midnight. The all-black distressed aesthetic fits the AC vibe perfectly, a little worn, a little glamorous. Walked from Stockton campus to the Steel Pier and back, the chunky sole absorbed every wooden plank and concrete step. The mesh and leather upper construction is layered so precisely, no glue stains at any seam junction. $149 to the 609 in 9 days. I've already converted three coworkers at the Tropicana to this shop. AC sneaker culture is officially awake.

    The Black Runner is giving post-apocalyptic marathon chic and I mean that as the highest compliment. Wore these to a Mud Hens game downtown and walked back to the UToledo campus through Adams Street, the distressed sole already looks broken in without having to suffer through the break-in period. The heel cushioning is plush, you feel the bounce with every step. The lace eyelets are reinforced, no stretching or tearing after two weeks of daily wear. $149 to the 419 in 10 days, the QC team even highlighted the mesh layering in their photos. Above and beyond.

    Living in Anchorage you need sneakers that can handle everything and these Runner Blacks are built different. The distressed sole has actual traction, walked from UAA to Downtown on a drizzly 50 degree day and didn't slip once. The all-black upper hides mud and dirt which is essential for Alaska life. The multi-texture mesh is layered perfectly, the translucent under-layer peeks through exactly like retail. 13 days to the 907 which is fast for Alaska shipping, customs at the distribution center was smooth. These are going to be my summer solstice festival kicks.

    The Runner Black is actually a work of art disguised as a sneaker. The distressed midsole looks like it's been through a fashion war and the contrast with the clean black upper is cinema. Wore em to a Spanish Town block party and then walked to the LSU lakes, handled grass, sidewalk, and a spilled daiquiri without a scratch. The multi-panel mesh construction is identical to retail, every layer sits at the right depth.Geaux Tigers and geaux these kicks.

    Runner Blacks are the sleeper Balenciaga sneaker and I'll die on that hill. The all-black is giving stealth operator but make it runway. Took these to a concert at the RiverCenter and the distressed sole caught the stage lights in a way that made them look archival. Walked the CSU campus in 95 degree Georgia heat and the mesh breathing was clutch, no hotbox situation. The Balenciaga logo on the lateral side is the correct font weight, not that thick bold that budget batches print. 10 days to the 706. My sneaker rotation just got a permanent new member.
